The Veterans Memorial Center and the SPC Henry Byrd III Veterans Visitors Center is now complete, located at Eagle Park, Belen, New Mexico. What an honor to be part of this great endeavor.  Please come visit.

In partnership with Councilman Frank Ortega and the City of Belen, the Belen Art League agreed to paint a mural for the Veterans Visitors Center.  The process started with a call for designs from the members of the Belen Art League.  Many great designs were submitted, but only one could be chosen.

The mural is 8 feet high and 16 feet long. 

There are many steps in creating a Mural.  We want to thank Councilman Frank Ortega for having the dream of creating a Veterans Memorial in Belen, Linda Dugger for the design and drawing of the mural, Cece Aragon, Patti Bucklew, Tom Hershberger, Chere' Holz, Edith Kahl, and Robert Murphy for the prep work. And the final team to paint the mural, Linda Dugger, Chere' Holz, Kelly Cross and Cece Aragon. Without the work of each of these wonderful people this project would not have been possible.  The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Mural Unveiling of the Belen Veterans Memorial was held on June 29, 2019, 2PM at Eagle Park, Belen, NM.  Hundreds of people joined in the celebration of our Veterans.
